"Dummy Question" of the Day

I believe it's approx 87% the size of a 'normal' guitar (7/8).
Smaller body, therefore should be lighter as well.

7/8 series is a 24.75 scale.  The 25.5 & conversion necks will not work with them because the bridge position isn't in the same place as a full size body.
Upside is you get a 24 fret neck with minimal board overhang.

You also have the option of the 24" scale jag/mustang necks on 7/8.

Ok - here's the scoop. No. unless I missed a 25" scale neck in the catalog.

Normal necks, 24.75" Conversion necks, and Baritone necks are all based on the same bridge to pocket distance.

7/8 scale and Jag/Mustang bodies also share their own neck  pocket to bridge distance.

Likewise, if someone is making a neck which is 25.5" but not fender compatible, (because the neck pocket to bridge distance is off) it won't work either.

Okay, I think I'm sort of understanding.  Are you saying the base of the neck will rest back too far, making it much closer to the bridge than it should be?

Yes, exactly. That diagram covers all the configuration Warmoth sells. I forgot to label the bridge and neck pockets, but you should be able to figure it out with a minimal amount of head scratching.

Ah, gotcha.

Thanks!
