Double DIY Guitar Project

Pretty snazzy fiddles. Outside the Floyds, I like the simplicity. Those have to be a blast to play!

Thanks... I got the bodies from ebay. I got the basswood body (blue guitar) from Mai guitars. The business I bought the mahogany body (red guitar) from went out of business...

Hi, do you have used the same pickups on this two guitars?

The red guitar has DiMarzio Air Norton (neck) and Tone Zone (bridge), the blue guitar has DiMarzio Air Zone (neck) and Super 3 (bridge), wood mounted...

No, I did not paint the pickups...

Dimarzio makes their bobbins available in Chrome, Gold, and even Chamo on some models.

Is that the Floyd Low-Pro?

What were your issues in fitting the Warmoth necks?  Where the Ibby bodies already to strat pocket spec?  They look slightly different that normal Ibby bodies.

Yes, it's a Floyd "PRO" tremolo. The blue body fit the Warmoth drilled neck heel holes perfectly. The red body did not (it's about an 1/8" shorter than a normal strat-style neck pocket). I ordered that neck without pre-drilled mounting holes... The bodies were CNC'd by different ebay venders...
