DIY RWRP single coil

Is there a way I can take a standard strat style pickup and make it RWRP without rewinding?

RWRP stands for reverse-wound-reverse-polarity. That's what you're doing by swapping the magnets and leads.

I know what it stands for but I guess I was expecting something alittle more complicated.

You can flip the magnets polarity with a couple of strong rare earth magnets. You don't actually take them out. Just in case some people might be thinking this. And reverse the wiring as L6Man noted. With the magnets, orient them so they repel against the pickup. Move them closer until it doesn't repel anymore. This will make them essentially neutral. Then move the pickup between the magnets (axial) a couple of times and the polarity will be reversed and charged. I would put a piece of thin cardboard between the pickup magnets and rare earth mags. The kind of cardboard that comes on the back of a legal pad.

*by axial I mean length wise. Back and forth high E to low E.
