I've been using a Kemper the last 3 years or so... But I have never really found a tone that I've bonded with...
So when I was looking for cheaper live rig alternatives to take with us to live shows, the Digitech GSP1101 seemed like the right thing.
I bought one used a while ago and now finally I got IR cabs to work with the GSP... I had to block my antivirus program to make the software work :dontknow:
And after tweaking for a couple of days and making my own patch... OH MY!!! This thing sounds amazing.
Here's my first video with it. Audio clips starts at 0:30
I profiled the GSP with my Kemper but the results was not 100% (too bright, harsch)

Then I tweaked the Kemper settings a bit and I got the sound almost identical at last.

And here's some clips of Kemper profile:

And original GSP1101 tone:

The good thing with this patch is that it somehow fits into the mix almost perfectly without any post-EQ or processing!
It's not too bright, not too dark, not too middy.
Sure it's very middy but thats a concious decision because it's mostly intended for live shows, and you gotta have mids there.
Again another Kemper profile of the GSP1101 :toothy12:

If anybody wonders the guitar is my latest Evertune guitar.
It features an old Fender neck refretted with stainless steel frets, a "cheap" Northwest Guitars strat body (I couldn't justify paying the double for a Warmoth body at the moment :sad1: I need to buy so much stuff for our upcoming live shows... but one fine day I'll do another Warmoth build ) and Irongear Steam Hammer pickups for ridicolously tight tone. And of course, Evertune bridge for great tuning stability.
