hello everyone

i will be building a strat from warmoth and i am not sure which bridge to order, standart or narrow

does anyone know if there would be a gap between the pickguard and the bridge if you use the narrow one ?

I'm not sure what you're asking, but the only difference in the bridge area cutout of the pickguards for Strats has to do with whether you're going to use a Floyd or anything else. The Floyd is wider. Everything else is narrower. There should be a specific cutout for Wilkinsons to maintain symmetry, but since they'll work with the standard cutout nobody bothers.

In looking at the product specs and descriptions, it looks to me like the base-plate is the same on either one.  The only difference is the string saddle spacing.  I'd shoot W an email and ask if this is the case.

Narrow will give you less of a chance of the e strings slipping off the end of the frets if the center line through the body isn't perfect.
