I was going to post it too but I see you've already attended to it! It will be good to see how it turns out but I'm not sure what the appeal of open gear tuners is and the keystone look isn't for me on a fender style but that's what parts/custom is all about I suppose

I have Hipshot open back tuners on my Strat and Tele. Aside form liking the way they look, they're also 18:1 ratio as opposed to their closed back which are 16:1. I have to agree with you regarding the standard Hipshot buttons, not my favorite either. Tried to like them, but they only lasted about a week on my Strat before I swapped 'em out. Thankfully, they have quite a large selection of buttons to choose from!  :icon_thumright:
