I moved 3 times in the last 2 years. We're finally in a house we plan to stay in indefinitely, but I still have most of my garage type stuff in storage. I recently decided to chop down a rackmount pc enclosure - end up fabricating an itty bitty table for my horizontal bandsaw to use it in vertical mode. Like took bent/warped piece of heavy sheet metal I'd cut out by hand, flattened it with a hammer on the vise anvil, filed clearance cut, wallered out the mounting holes... and voila. Crude but did the job. It reminded me of a quote from the Star Trek spoof 'Galaxy Quest' - 'Look around you, can you construct some sort of rudimentary lathe?"

Nothing like having the proper tool for the job. Ironically enough I found the actual vertical table that came with the saw the following weekend.

Yip, was cutting up some aluminum for some more truss rod covers. Got some aluminum for some neck plates, got some brass for some truss rod covers and neck plates...
