Thanks Fellas ! This bass has the magic , something perhaps about this neck . It's pretty stiff , which I like but man  the low notes super tight and solid and it has this cool acoustic quality that blends in with the tone for a ballsy/ organic vibe . It's a killer combination .
 
I was curious how the whole semi-hollow/F-hole thing affected the tone; thanks for spelling it out. I imagined that it would be cool. -Given that you have frets & round-wound strings, the spaces inside the ash/maple body seem like they'd even out that inherant brilliance. -The perfect balance! I recently built a chambered Jazz, but with having  flat-wounds on fretless, it is right on the edge of dark. The 'board being ebony is prob'ly the only thing keeping it out of the ditch...

Anyway, back to your latest creation. Very cool. -Me jelly!
