Custom Speaker cab builds?

I know it's been touched on before in a few different topics here and there. but doing a search turned up nothing useful.

I'm looking to build a Subwoofer for my Rivera Knucklehead (i can't sell it for what it's worth so screw it, I"m keeping it!!).

Rivera used to make subs for their amps and I've played my amp with a bass guitar amp attached and it sounds amazing, but I think I'd like to make something close to the LosLobottom cabs they used to make.

Anyway. I can pick out the parts easily enough. I'm looking at a pair of these (or something similar, i haven't done a lot of research http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=294-480 )
and something like this for the amp: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-752

But i'm not too keen on trying to make my own sub cabinet.  I know there is quite the science to it and I'm not sure I want to screw around with it at the moment. I"ve got a lot of projects going on anyway.

So.. since I can't find the threads where people were talking about guys that build good custom cabs.  I'd love some pointers in the right direction.
Thanks guys.

I build great cabinets. But, I'm curious why you'd want to put a powered sub-woofer under a powered head like that. Or, is this to be in addition to a 412 or something else for the main support?

just google it, since this will be like a normal sub and not a typical guitar speaker that has a limited range on purpose there is a very scientific way to do it and there are simple spreadsheets and freeware to help you design it.

^i've used this before as well as done it the old fashioned way (eww math)

Rivera builds their Knucklehead amps with a subwoofer output. It's a separate output on the back of the amp that is not powered, it's just line level, there is a volume control on the front for it and also a hi-pass filter for the amp when you have the sub connected.  So yeah it is in addition to the 4x12.

Ok. Well, I sent you an email that talks about what we can do here, so we can go from there if you're interested. Might be a fun project for an article here as well.
