What exactly is this??
You should call them and ask, because they do some and I guess some not...

In general, no.  It is rare, but custom work has been done before.  You can always email customshop@warmoth.com if you know what you want.  Expect additional charges and additional lead times.

I just looked at the Taipan Tone site..... Looks a lot like snake oil.......

That's what I was talking about, sorry for not specifying.

Snake oil? I'm not familiar with that expression.

Part of the draw was possibly adding some more weight to the tail end of a Fenderbird

They make an appealing argument.  I would be interested if they had some substantial method of verification.  However, they don't...
If you are only attempting to add weight, it seems like there are much better methods to add the slight weight this piece would create.
Just hate to see you route up a nice axe for nothing.
Good luck...
:rock-on:

I've played some of those Godins before and the noticeable difference (if any) is very subjective.

In any event, you can buy the routing template from taipan tone via the same link that was posted above.

I can see where more mass makes a difference on the sustain block of a tremolo, aiding in coupling, but on a string through type of tailpiece/bridge setup, there is already so much more transferrence of energy, that only an oscilliscope could tell the difference where human ears cannot.
