CTS pots on a rear route Jazz bass?

I heard somewhere that the Warmoth stocked CTS pots are too short for a rear route jazz bass. any truth to this? and if so, what is the acceptable solution to this?
 
The solution is to route the body out as thin as it needs to be for the pot shaft to fit through.

Y'know, you can always go to the Warmoth site and look at what they sell. They're pretty good about pictures and descriptions, being a mail-order an online business. The 250K and 500K CTS pots they sell look like this:

Those pics are from their site. They go for $5/ea. The pots, not the pics <grin> Anyway, mounting depths don't get much deeper than that. If those won't fit in your rear route Jazz bass, something is horribly wrong.
