Well...... It's nearly Christmas after all!!!!

Standard thin Wenge back with Pau Ferro board will have Stainless 6105 frets and a black Earvana nut.

I've been GASing for a new neck for my 8-Ball strat for some time now. I've currently got a Birdseye/Birdseye Fatback, which is a great neck.  I love it, but I'm playing more now and I'm finding that it gets a uncomfortable in my hand being SOOOOO fat, and the gloss finish I find to be sticky.

I decided to go standard thin because I like regular strat necks. And I needed to have me some raw wood for that silky feel.  I have a mate with a Wenge necked Warwick bass which feels great.

Many thanks to Bob in sales for his help and advice.  Looking forward to this bad boy on the 8-Ball.

That is absolutely beautiful! I would've never guessed that wenge and pau ferro would go together so well. I bet it will feel and sound fantastic, congrats!

Nice! You're going to be sooo happy! I think the neck is probably the most exciting part of a guitar/bass. It's the fundamental heart and soul of the instrument. Get that right, and everything else is fungible.

I was quoted 10 working days for delivery (it was from the showcase rather than a scratch order) but it arrived in 5 including the weekend.

My god it feels good.  Raw wood IS the way to go.
