Contoured Heel screw question...NOT SIZE RELATED!!!

I am putting together a guitar with a contoured heel.  I get the fact that I will need 2 shorter screws.  My question is will the 2 shorter screws go in the neck slightly angled due to the contour?  Since the heel is angled one would think so.  If they do not, then the will not sit flush on the neck plate...does this make sense??

The two short ones go towards the headstock.  There have been a few posts about this issue.  In theory they dont go in exactly perpendicular to the plate, but if you make sure the screws go in the center of the plate holes when you fully tighten, they will go in just fine with no issues.

No. The screw holes are drilled the exact same way they would be if there were no contour. So they do sit different in the plate though it is very slight.

you wont be able to tell once its together, mine has it looks perfectly flush.

Thanks.  I was worried that the screws would look/feel funny.

They work fine.  All of my builds except one have a contoured heel.
