Does the Concentric pot that Warmoth sells (this one: )

fit inside a top-routed strat body without any further modification to the wood?

I have not tried, but I can't think of a reason it wouldn't.  The bodies are deep enough.  If anything, the circumfererence would be the only issue, but I have put big pots in all three Strat locations before with no problems.

I ended up using them on my Strat, but now I have a new project.  I found that these don't seem to fit in a Rear-routed body.  I need just a 1/4 of an inch and I could make it work.  Anyone know where I can get long-shaft concentric knobs?

Check out this ebay store: http://stores.shop.ebay.nl/azguitarparts__W0QQ_armrsZ1

I ordered a concentric pot and some knobs there not too long ago. While I used them on a top routed bass myself, the shaft of their pots should be long enough for a rear routed body.

Not expensive either. It was cheaper for me to have them shipped to Europe than try and get those items locally.

I don't know if I used a short or long shaft one; but I used one in a rear route strat body with no modifications at all.

The weird thing is, I have a 250/500 mm one that just barely hangs on.  I'm wondering now if my body was just too thick.  I'm going to measure things tonight.

Those guys are in Europe, looks like.

So basically, I need a 25mm long shaft?

Oops, I used ebay.nl when I posted those links. Sorry about that.

And yes, a 25mm (1'') shaft should work fine. In my situation where I mounted it in a Jazz bass control cavity cover, I had to add an extra nut and washer so it wouldn't stick out too much.

I think you mean 250/500 kOhms. 500mm is almost 20 inches.
