Any sugenstion on how to secure a battery clip and volume pot within a rear route strat cavity.

I'm planning on using StewMac shielding paint.  I've seen a simple 9 volt battery clip available.  Could you epoxy them within the cavity.  I don't think the wood on the top would be thick enough on the top to use a brad or anything of that nature.

if there is room you could definatly use the double sided tape they sell at RC Hobby stores. It is used to stick electronics into RC Cars and once it is on it ain't comming off without a fight.

You should be able to just mount it to the side rather than the top.

Either way, yeah, double stick tape is amazingly good for stuff like this.

When i had my bass routed out for my custom pickup, the luthier used double stick tape to secure the template.
He used a bit too much, and he had to have his friend hold the body down while he pulled up on the template.
You should have no problem with a mere battery clip...

There's always those LR Baggs velcro battery bags.  They just double stick tape to the inside of the cover plate....or wherever you want it.
