I see a good cherry wood neck with ebony fingerboard :)
What's the sound?
Like...

I believe it's balanced somewhat similar to alder. I personally love cherrywood, but I've never had a guitar made of one.... That may need to change...

like alder?
I don't think... :icon_scratch:
Honestly I've never seen a neck alder

You are reading too literal about what Paul-less said.

He said alder is balanced somewhat and cherrywood compares to that. He meant the TONE of the wood is balanced.....

Gregg, quick half related question, do Cherry necks require a finish or not?
also, what is their tonal properties and will there be more??
I think I'm in love with TN3298..

Yes, Cherry Wood does require a finish. The cell structure and feel of it reminds me of Maple but unfortunately, I do not have any real world experience with it as far as tone. These have been the first I've seen here at Warmoth and I think what you see in the Showcase is all we have of it.

No no, I had understood, of course.
But if you give me an example let me on a wood that is used for a neck.
For example, *CW is balanced like Purpleheart* .
I did not put a smiley but I was joking, of course
