Cheap Charvel strat FTW!

Hi, all -

Two weeks ago I won bid-sniped an eBay auction for this Japanese-made Charvel Model 1A.  I had one of these as my second-ever electric guitar back in 1988, and sold it a year later so I could get a fuchsia-colored Ibanez shred guitar.  Turns out I'm not a shredder after all, and lo!  Twenty-one years later, I am in possession of the beauty pictured below.  Needs a setup, and cosmetically, I'd like to restore it to its original appearance by putting black knurled dome knobs on, but it sounds pretty frickin' awesome, and it has the same sweet-feeling neck I remember.  Not bad for 180 bux.  You may envy me...

Nice aquisition.  I had one of those on loan for a while in the early 90s.  Does this one have the black painted pointy headstock with small Charvel logo?

Yes, it has the pointy Jackson headstock, but with the Charvel guitar-shaped logo.  Missing the truss-rod cover, too, but I can pick one up for cheap.

Yeah, that's similar to the one I had.  I think it had black Strat knobs.  They were probably original, since the guy that loaned it to me wasn't really into changing/modifying things.
