im building a tele with a neck shim and useing a gator fit all flight case its designed to hold the guitar with top pressure would this be a problem with the neck shim???
thanks

If the neck shim is only a few .001's thick and does not result in any aprecciable neck angle there should be no problem. If the neck is actaully set at an angle, like a Les Paul or SG, then there may be a problem.

its a shim for a tune-o-matic i put my les paul in the case and it looked like if i built a ramp for the back it might work

The interior of the case really should match the shape of the guitar as closely as possible. Prolonged stress on the instrument is not a good thing especially if it forces the neck bow forward or backward. The guitar really need to be neutral in the case and when the lid closes, it should apply light compression evenly all over the guitar.

ok thanks ill return the case for the les paul version while i have time
the les paul case is a little wide but that will be easily solved with a few socks
i didnt even think of this problem till i got back from the store and it was surpassingly hard to find the answere
