Can you put a Vintage Start 8 hole Pickguard on an 11 hole body?

I think the general answer is no, but there might be hope. I want to put a gold pickguard on a candy green strat and I prefer the look of the vintage style body. There seems to be more options for 11-hole pickguards for the varying colors of gold and I want to compare which gold might look the best against the candy green finish. If I end up getting an 11 hole body, will I be able to slap a vintage 8-hole pickguard on it anyways, or will the holes not line up? Here is a link from the pickguard I have in mind but if you guys have any pictures of what you guys have or recommendations, that would be awesome!

What type of body are you planning on getting? Most new bodies don't come predrilled for pickguard holes in any case.

I pretty sure the only hole on an 8 hole that will not be lined up with a hole in your body will be the on by the 5way switch. Take a look at these two examples.
