Bridge & Stopbar for lefty Epiphone Dot?

Hey everyone,
New to the board, and pretty green with working on guitars.
I have an Epi Dot (Left Handed) that I love, but over time the stopbar and bridge have become pretty nasty...not so much corroded, but the metal has become pitted and rough, for lack of a better description. I'd like to replace the stock hardware with something nicer, but am afraid of getting the wrong thing. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Welcome to the board!

There are a number of suppliers of bridge/tailpiece sets that would likely work well for that guitar, as it's a fairly common design used on numerous instruments from a variety of manufacturers. If you want a very high-quality part, you probably want to be looking at something from Callaham or Tone Pros. They machine their parts out of billets rather than die cast them out of zinc, so fit & finish is even better than OEM parts. But, that kind of quality comes at a price. If it's too much to bear, you can certainly get something new that's at least as good as what's already on your guitar from many places, Guitar Fetish being one of my favorites. Their stuff is priced so that you could probably buy 5 or 6 bridges for what one Callaham costs.

I should also mention that you'll want to measure the center spacing on the mounting posts for those parts, as well as find out whether you have metric or imperial dimensioned threads on the studs. Some of that overseas stuff can come either way. Doesn't change the performance, but it can change whether the parts will fit. Epiphones have been made both ways, with newer units coming from Japan or Korea and more likely being metric.
