The abalone screams out for attention, and draws the eye where it shouldn't go. You want subtlety, which is why tortoise shell complements your aesthetic choices better than abalone.

I agree x 1000, the amber knobs definitely goes best with this build.
The abalone just stand out too much...

The amber looks dramatically better, if those are your only two choices. Regardless of which style you choose, buy some 5 minute epoxy now for when the inserts fall off. They super-glue them on, and it doesn't last. If it was me, I'd do all-black knobs and avoid the problem altogether. .

Thanks everyone .... I tried the black, but the orange is the effect I'm going for. I've had the abalone knobs  for 5 or more years no problems yet.  :rock-on:

I'm with swarfrat on the ebony knobs, or at least dark wood of some kind! Either way, love that Korina! :icon_thumright:
