I've had a few tonight.
Body: LP I bought used a few months ago and sold the neck and original pickups. Waiting 3 months for the neck (1st time they made it it didn't pass QC) now, gotta do something. Added SD Jazz / PG combos with coil tap on a push-push.
Neck: SRV profile going to the hardtail sunburst in progress (curing and waiting till I really have time to buff it out). GOD these kluson tuners SUCK! Why didn't somebody tell me you've got to wrap it inside and around like a freaking jazz bass?

The idea is to string it up, and fine-tune the nut and get the string trees attached, and also troubleshoot any pickup wiring issues I may have. Also to kill time.

Waddayathink? Evil genius, or just evil?

My mind is having a tough time looking at it.  I look at the body and it puts up blinders so I can't see the neck, then I look at the neck and it blocks out the body.  This guitar is the reason people's heads explode.

That body is awsome!!!!  The striping reminds my of my desert burst Les Paul.  Not a big fan of the neck on that guitar tho... i guess I'm just having a hard time wraping my brain around it...Can't wait to hear what it sounds like when it's done.  You gotta post some sound clips of that beast...

I guess I wasn't clear! This is a temporary arrangement, a marriage of convenience while I 1) wait for my LP neck and 2) find the time to buff out the strat body I'm working on. This WOULD not be my first choice of neck to pair with that body!!!

I don't think it takes much. Just having a bolt on neck is enough to get most LP fans going.

Definately different, I say keep it. And you must be the minimalist of players to just be using only the low E string...... :headbang1: That's all you need, no fancy solo's no blistering riff's..
