Bass 6 body

I've narrowed it down to these two woods, as the body will be getting a solid color finish, so there's no need to consider the pretty stuff.

I'm leaning towards basswood due to its tendency to slightly favor the lower end of things, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'm torn as to both - Walnut, Mahogany or Poplar maybe (hog for the bass; but if this is an 'active' bass I'd want a harder body wood to resist the pull.....)  I'm in agreement with some others here that the body wood in an electric isn't nearly the biggest factor to affect tone and depth.  But it's your rig and Warmoth would not sell a product that wouldn't get'er'done....Cheers man!

After crunching some numbers, and rethinking the project as a whole, I've decided to scrap the fancy paint entirely.  New plan is to order an unfinished BK body and do some TruOil.  A little more personal satisfaction in doing it myself, and it'll saves me a decent chunk of money.
