Back Redo - What do you think?

I made so many mistakes on the back of this guitar its not funny.  The final straw was when I dropped it and put a big gash in the lacquer.  So, one day I decided so sand the entire back down to raw wood.  As I did this I got a very well defined line around the edge.  Even though I kept my stains, I did not think I would be able to perfectly match the color, so I went for the two-tone look.  I sort of like it - what do you think?  Anyway, I thought you guys would get a kick out of this.

This project has taken me for ever, but everything is finally falling into place and should be ready for final assembly this weekend.  Based partly on comments I read on this board, I ordered the Rio Grande - Muy Grande Cuatro Set (HSS).  I have already heard them, playing through my computer, and am very impressed so far.  But, I will hold final judgement until I actually play through my amp and with my band.  I will post some comments at that point.

Comments welcome.

I bought two stains from StewMac.  Red Mahogany and Lemon Yellow.  I then mixed three batches.  1) A very concentrated (dark) red mahogany 2) Normal lemon yellow, and 3) about a 50/50 combo - maybe leaning a little towards the yellow.  With the third, I was trying to get that amber color.

The edges of the guitar are the dark color.  The back is the amber.  And, the front is supposed to be a mild sunburst - I initially stained the top very dark and then sanded back to try to get that 3-D effect.  If I had to do it over again I would either use black or a really really dark stain.  You have to remember that I am a first timer and had no freaking idea what I was doing.
