My neck came in on Thursday, but it's been pandemonium around here since then.  I finally got to take a few photos of it, and I'm seriously pleased with the quality of the flame on this maple.  Warmoth pro construction, macassar ebony board, 6105 frets (somehow neglected to select "stainless," so that will be next build), boatneck, and, like the dude in this cartoon, delicious (but unlike the cartoon, this one is also highly nutritious - to the SOUL).  I think I was most unprepared for how thick the slab of ebony would be.  Pretty dang nice, all told.

It's unfinished - pix of the first coat of tru-oil will be forthcoming soon.  It's pretty dang spectacular.

Bagman - That looks incredibly cool.  I can't tell from the picture (of course) but the playing surface of that neck looks like it would be buttery smooth.  Nice choice!!
