I received my new body and neck today!

The body is gorgeous, but I noticed a lot of spots running the length of the fretboard.

(Crosspost from general Discussion)
It looks like a chemical was splashed across the fretboard prior to installation.  (See attachments)  Has anyone seen this before on a Warmoth neck?  I have another Ebony neck from Warmoth and it is perfectly clear.  Any ideas?  I have emailed customer service and am awaiting a response.

The body looks great! It looks like some droplets of finish on the fretboard that should have gotten buffed out.

That body is really nice. The neck, too. I saw the other thread on the spots and it sounds like Kevin posted the solution there.

This is going to be a fine-looking instrument. Congrats. :icon_thumright:

That's a lovely colour on the body, and it goes great with the dots on the neck.  I saw the other thread on the spots on the neck.  Not sure what to think about that.  I'm not 100% convinced they aren't mineral streaks, but attempting to clean them off with naptha is probably a good idea.

Great looking guitar.

Those spots are common.  Try using some orange oil on the neck.  It will both clean and condition the neck.  They made fade over time but common with that wood.

Except in this case, it looks more like some splashed finish or compound.

Looks like orphan/slave/illegal alien/political prisoner joyful worker sweat to me.

But, I believe the issue has come up before and it was pointed out that they're artifacts within the wood that will wear off. If it's any kind of "droplets", some naphtha will almost certainly make quick work of their removal.
