Anyone else unable to order "nice"black korina?

Not a criticism, I know good wood isnt easy to find, but I was told to email back in a month or two to see if they have nice pieces then
A month or two will seem like an eternity.

Might be worth asking about 'nice'. 'Nice' seems to include orange stripes, which I don't care for. I do want figured BK, I don't care for orange or especially orange & white.

Yeah those orange striped ones are pretty nice, and ideal for dragonburst jobs from the couple W's I've seen with them. Otherwise Korina to me is just a pricier mahogany. I saw a before/after mahog strat job where the body was swapped with a Korina with a local jam guy, and I couldn't really hear a difference better the two and he couldn't either. Though it looked nicer than what he'd had at least

It's going to be clear finished so it has to stand on it's own feet, so to speak.

i think warmoth is pretty good about putting it like it is. they won't take your money for nice black korina unless they're sure they have some nice black korina. which is really cool of them. especially considering they're risking losing a customer if you find another company just because they're not willing to take your money for something less than amazing. gotta love warmoth! but i do hope they get some nice stuff in soon, i love all the black korina projects on this board

Just keep watching this site; typically when a nice load of korina/spalted maple/etc. comes in Gregg or Wyliee will post some pictures. Are you looking for a korina body, or just an Unique Choice lamtop?

That's one of the choice tops they have up on the website write now.  Look at the photo properties to get the number. :headbang1:

Unfortunately I'm after a body and not a top, and they don't have a piece to fit the bill at the moment.

Hi,

I'm about to build a laminate top body and don't see this particular piece listed as a unique black korina choice in the guitar body builder wizard. Is there somewhere else on the site that lists more tops with large views?

I've also noticed that I can't et a Goncalo Alves neck either. I'm just going to rock band and forth like a Romanian orphan (poor buggers   )until the right tree gets slaughtered.
