Anybody have experience with Nordstrand Bass Big Singles/Big Splits?

Hola Amigos! I'm planning my next Gecko Build and I've used EMG DC's for my basses but i'm thinking of giving the Nordstrand Big Singles or Big Splits ( Hum canceling version ) a day in court. Looking for a pretty meaty, articulate tone, which the 35" scale gecko should certainly facilitate. Any reviews or experience with these pickups will help me out greatly!!

I have tried the Big Split (bridge pickup only) in one of my Geckos, and it sounded very full, meaty and articulate.  I recommend them if you like the tone of a Jazz bass with more power and force behind it.  These are not thin-sounding or wimpy pickups at all.
 
That sir..is exactly what I'm looking for....gonna build a black korina body with a maple/maple neck with the neck pickup placed right next to the bridge pickup for a more defined midrange growl! should be lightweight and angry!
 
Will do!! I think the maple/maple combo may be a bit lighter weight than the wenge/ebony ones I've used in the past..plus some hipshot ultralights should make for a well balanced gecko
