Anybody else build one of these?

I love Beavis Audio Research.  Built the Noisy Cricket amp last night, and used the 1uf cap to supposedly make it into a bass amp.  This little thing sounds pretty sweet!  I did a crappy demo with my squier J bass, but really, it sounds sweet with my warmoth strat too.

That's pretty cool. I thought the bass sounded pretty godd through that thing.
I've built a tube preamp for guitar that had 4 12ax7's.  It was basically the front end of a Soldano SLO (high gain) channel.
But the money that went into building the rack box, transformers, and good components, I'm probably not going to build any more!

I don't have the money, nor the space, for more involved or complicated builds.  And my carpentry skills are sub-par at best, so I usually like boxing up all my jobs in cheap crap I can get at thrift or dollar stores, or yard sales and such.  Makes for a good hobby that way.

I have a tube cricket thats been on the shelf for a while.  After assembling the board I couldn't bring myself to put it in a pedal box.  I opted for an old radio chassis, a vintage license plate, a scraped pa head cabinet, and an old jewel pilot light that I retrofitted with the led from the pedal.  I just need to add a power supply - so many projects so little time....
