So, the dialtone pickups are out for now.  Could do EMGs but looking for something exotic that would fit well with this maple body, and schaller bridge.  Something rare, exotic, weird, elite.  Bareknuckle warpigs?  Heh.

It might be too twangy or just not what you're looking for, but I've had the wide-range humbuckers on my mind lately.  From what I've been reading, the newer ones by fender use the same magnets as normal humbuckers, but the old ones, and newer re-creations by boutique places like the creamery, use threaded magnets.

I think that a simpler cover would be best. The quilt on the body is gorgeous and pronounced so an excessively decorative cover might look "busy". JM2C
