If so, could you offer me the size of the control cavity? I guess a rear route 7/8 Tele would be the same.

Sorry for the late reply, but here goes ...
I don't have a rear routed 7/8 strat but I do have rear routed 7/8 Tele. I'm not sure the cavities are the same though.
I took some pictures with a ruler giving you some measurements (metric, of course :icon_jokercolor
