Here's another little revision.  A very empty and repetitive ditty - and the only one of mine meant for lyrics and singin'.  One day...

Anyhoo, only two guitar tracks here: L/R - no quad tracking here, ladies and gents!  My only rocker to have so few guitars, but I really love the stripped down tones.  Boosted plexis driven by an old Ibanez S540LTD fitted with two Dimarzio Gravity Storms.  Leads are the neck pickup split.  Pretty decent single coil'ish tone.  Love the vowely mids on the bridge bucker.  A little bit of "ahhhhh".  No, no: AHHHHHHH - more from the back of the throat!

Damn. That was mighty fine, Frank. Those Gravity Storms in the right hands really put out.

Very well done, Frank.  The production is tight, as is your playing.  I admire the hell out of your compositional chops and your skills on the instrument and, in particular, your ability to coax very usable tones out of your gear.  I like the vowel-y texture you refer to. 


One thing I would say by way of criticism - if this ends up with a vocal on it at some point, I think the wang-bar action in the chorus might not be wholly appropriate.  When it's the only thing there, it breaks up the spareness of the arrangement a little; but under vocals, especially if you layer them in harmony, it might be distracting and potentially dissonant in an undesirable way.

Thanks you for the feedback. Man, I don’t know when this will see vocals, but when it does, I’ll def take your thoughts into account. The levels of the other instruments will also have to be adjusted, as well. I’ve never mixed vocals before, so it should be a proper train wreck.
