What are the pros and cons of a tung oil finished neck vs a miniwax wipe on satin poly?
It will be going on a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard

you can tung oil it... run the first coat VERY thin with solvent to get as much seepage into the wood as you can

it may, or may not, have the stability of a hard finish

if that concerns you, get a canary neck, no finish needed

Ok I just learned about tru oil how is that for a raw feeling neck?

I personally dont like its feel, or how well it holds up to wear, but some swear by it.  It is NOT a real "oil" finish, but does contain oils.

You might also want to look at padouk and wenge relative to canary ( and then relative to maple ) on the "tone-o-meter".

I already have the neck it's from all parts I can't afford warmoth right now I'm jut buying the hardware
for now from them

Do the neck with lacquer... some Deft Semi Gloss or Cabot Gloss
