Agile body with Warmoth neck

I am wanting a Warmoth Pro neck (SRV profile) and put it on an Agile body from Rondo music (and maybe upgrade to a nitro finished fender body eventually). I am not sure if the dimensions will fit this body( http://www.rondomusic.com/stbodydaphneblue.html ). I want a snug fit.

Also what color? I am putting the wired David Gilmour EMG pickguard, so I am thinking candy apple red with maple neck.

Dude... the neck is the pricey bit...

the bodies a pretty liveable price...

why not spend a little extra and back it up with a durable finish and a great fit?

i emailed kurt at rondo music a while back asking about whether or not a fender-spec p-bass neck would fit on a rondo p-bass body (SX i think). he said they were not the same size. i'd expect the same thing from the guitars. worth emailing about before you shell out for a neck! i'd definitely shoot him an email and see what he says

Well, I checked Ebay, and there are some strat bodies in good shape for around 150 bucks, might get one of those.

The neck pocket on the Agile body is too narrow at 2 1/8". It needs to be 2 3/16" to get a Warmoth neck to fit. You'll need a router, a template and the willingness to tolerate some possible finish chips to fix that. It seems most of those Asian-sourced bodies fall down in that area. The neck pocket is either too narrow or too wide for a "standard" neck.

If your budget is tight but you want a top-quality part, there are still some Strat bodies in the Warmoth "Screamin' Deals" section. It's a pretty limited selection, but certainly nothing unattractive even if it's not your first choice of color.

Not sure where you're getting that info, but I just checked with a couple of Warmoth Pro necks and the neck pocket on the Agile Strat body that is being used for the "relic'ing" project/competition is loose as hell, NOT too little. You would need to clamp the neck down while drilling the pilot and regular holes for the neck, but no add'l routing/surgery would be necessary.

I got the Agile neck pocket dimensions from the body description/specs at the site he linked to that has the body he wants to use. Having dealt with this issue before I already knew the neck heel/pocket specs from Warmoth, but if you want to review them, you can see them here. You'll find their neck heel widths and neck pocket widths are both 2 3/16".

If your neck pocket (or the one you're referring to) is sloppy with a Warmoth neck, it must be one of the bodies I mentioned in the same post where the pocket width is 2 1/4". As I pointed out there, and I'll say again, most bodies sourced out of the Asian region seem to have either 2 1/8" or 2 1/4" neck pockets, which makes it tough to use "standard" necks from premium suppliers like Warmoth.

I just don't get it.

If you spend nearly 500 bucks on a gorgeous neck,

why not spend less than 300 on a body that is made for it?

My Agile body is sloppy in the neck pocket as well.  But not as sloppy as my mid 70's jazz bass was.

My plan is to shim it.  :headbang:

i read two different thoughts i really interested fit agile warmoth pro guitar neck or not.who had experience share with

Excuse-moi, senor, but I would guess that Agile neck pockets are neither 2 1/8 INCH or 2 1/4 INCH but in fact, in keeping with 95% of the real word, are METRIC! lock up yer wimmen an' cattle, they's a comin' to metric you.... one of these decades. It's actually gotten sort of comical, back in the 70's "they" said we be all metricized by 2000. "They" say all kinds of stuff.
