I've heard a lot of good things about Agile guitars, groovy pics too!  :kewlpics:

Nice, and good for you! Those are fine instruments, and that one is particularly beautiful.

You could do this with a Warmoth project....
12 string neck, humbucker routs, gotoh 12 string bridge, f -holes on the starcaster body.......  oh wait....

Yeah that would have been cool.

But seriously this being an "accessory"-guitar the price/performance of an Agile is hard to beat. This runs me around 670 US dollars including case and Danish VAT and customs.

But I would love to have a 6 string Starcaster. But in lieu of that I am considering a Agile AS-1000 Gold.

Just noticed  some of the text in my first post disappeared.  :icon_jokercolor:

So I'll try once more.

My impressions:

Negative:

A chip in the binding on the heel.
Cracks on both sides of neck joint. Probably caused by the wood working after lacquering. The neck does not give way - so it must be cosmetically.
The masking/scraping of the binding is sub-standard several places.
Dirt and fingerprints under the clear lacquer on the binding.
A "Fresh" guitar box fuming and giving me headache. I left it in the garage open for couple of days.
Pickups being remarkably trebly. But it is possible to dial in an acceptable tone using the tone pots.
And not unexpected it has a lot of head dive.

Positive:

It had a near perfect adjustment out of the box.
Keeps the tuning.
Good solder work (inspected with a dentist mirror).
Switch of good quality.
Aside from above mentioned faults it is a looker and the lacquer is good!
Good tone electrified and adjusted on the tone pots.
The acoustic sound very lively and "crispy".
Top dollar fret work.

I have only tried some acoustic 12 strings on occasions. So I can't really compare it to other electrics. But I can get useful sounds out of it.

For the occasional work this is meant for it more than fits the bill.

Sending it back is hardly an option anyways. I'm living in Denmark and the cost would be to high.

I'll probably change the speed knobs to something more elegant and put Planet waves auto trim tuners on it as well.

They're very, very responsive to the customers. Their lines of seven and eight string guitars have essentially been designed by the consensus of the serious players over on the seven string forum. If you send them an e-mail, it's the owner who answers back. With any of these oriental builds, the questions are the same.

What's the initial design?
What's the quality of parts, including wood?
What's the oversight and skill within the chosen factory?

These guys score pretty high, as does Schecter, as does Ibanez (when you top $400 or so).

I have heard great things about AGILE.  Looks nice a nice peice but I wold return it.  Those defects are too much...unless you got B stock pricing...

Since you live so far...maybe they could knock a few dollars off
