Abbey Road Revisited

    Back in 1996 my parents and I went to the UK.  From that vacation I have a photo of my dad and I crossing Abbey Rd. that I keep in my vinyl copy of that album.  This summer my wife, daughter, and I went to the UK, and now I have a picture of my daughter and me in the crossing.  We also made it up to Liverpool for a few days.  I'm already looking forward to going back in a few years and spending more time in Liverpool.  It's nice to be in a country where you can stay in a hotel or eat in a restaurant with some history.  In America all these places would've been torn down and rebuilt, and torn down and rebuilt...  However, it's worth noting that the Cavern Club is a recreation (although it's basically in the same location).  The original was shortsightedly torn up in the 1970's.
