So I got this body a month ago ,it' s a very hard to come by  X bird in Daphne blue .The seller shipped it USPS and I'm pretty sure USPS just tossed it out of the moving truck as they drove by . And well it didn't do to well . So  a few days later I dropped it off to Pat Wilkins shop in the valley and picked it up the other today .  Check it  ,

That's a cool axe, to be sure.

For those who are not in the know, El Kabong harks back to a 1960's era Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Quick-Draw McGraw.  QDMG would apply his El Kabong attack by smashing someone with his guitar.

That's a helluva repair to pull off in only a month. Nice job, and a fine-looking instrument!

Beautiful.  Daphne Blue has always been my favorite Fender finish.  Please tell me the USPS reimbursed you.

I didn't try , the day it came in I asked Pat if he could do it and he said yup 90 bucks . The seller kicked me back what I asked for "50" bucks and i covered the rest . I had 250 into a fully loaded body and so it was a done deal . I have no idea what it's like to do a claim with USPS but I hate just stepping foot into the place. With UPS or Fedex you have to give up the item and they either keep it or send it back to the shipper . I was not about to do that and I have it back probably before any of those clowns would have paid out . Playing it and recording it  :cool01: BTW Pat is the man , he finishes the whos who of the high end bass and guitar worlds instruments and builds a mighty fine instrument himself . He'll take on just about any refinish or repair , you can mail it in or drop it off . He did damn fine job on this repair . worth every penny IMO . Cheers

look at how the body shot out of the box , they must have thrown it from a great distance to do that .
