7/8 Strat Body with Tele neck pocket?

Hi guys,
I'm new here and I just ordered a neck from Warmoth a few weeks ago and still waiting.
Anyway, that is not the question.
I want to order a 7/8 Warmoth Strat style body. But the only option they have is a Strat style neck pocket.
I wanted a Tele style neck pocket on the 7/8 Strat body but Warmoth did not have an option for that.
Is it possible to have that option? A 7/8 Strat body with Tele neck pocket?
I want to match up my existing 24 frets Jackson/Charvel neck and the neck heel is a straight Telecaster style.

I'm not sure the neck pocket style is the only thing that won't match.
Warmoth says on their webpage that "Warmoth cannot guarantee compatibility with any other guitar necks or manufacturers".
Is the Jackson neck a 24,75" scale neck?

Oh yes it is, came from a Dinky and definitely not a Baritone.

Have you called Warmoth to see if they can cut it with a Tele pocket? It might be possible for an upcharge. I guess your other option is to get (or make) a template and cut the pocket flat at the heel yourself. Stewmac has one here.

Another consideration is that if you have a fretboard overhang, it'll cover the heel anyway.

But there might be more to this than just the pocket style. The holes might not line up. And if they line up, is the fretboard then at the same place as on a Warhead neck?
I'm thinking it's a big gamble to invest in Warmoth having them cut a Tele pocket. Then if it still doesn't fit perhaps having a Warhead neck from the beginning would have saved a lot of grief.

It is not possible to assume because the scale length may be the same that it will work whatever the pocket shape. Where it fits in the neck pocket may not even ensure the bridge will be in the correct place for it to be able to intonate at all. Even though the Warmoth 7/8 has the idea of a 7/8 body like a Jackson Dinky other dimensions may well be different.

I could be wrong but I thought Jackson Dinky's had 25.5" scale lengths.

This ^^^^

Dinky's were 25.5", unless it's some kind of custom jobber..  Also not just the heel shape being squared off, but I believe that most of the Jackson/Charvel heel widths were 2 1/4" as well.  A little wider than the standard 2 3/16" Strat neck pocket, so the neck pocket would need to be routed wider to accept a J/C neck too.

***update***

Actually, after thinking about this a little more..  I don't believe that the Dinky neck heel is squared off either.  If I'm not mistaken, the heel shape would be similar to the standard Strat neck heel. The fretboard end, however, on most Jackson/Charvel necks IS squared off and not rounded off like a Strat.

The heel width would still be 2 1/4" though, so the neck would be too wide for a standard 2 3/16" strat pocket.

In addition to verifying the width of the heel as it would sit in the pocket, along with the scale length itself, you must also take into consideration the length from the neck pocket on the end of the pocket route, nearest the neck pickup cavity to the midpoint of the saddle as mentioned below:

The most important scale length dimensions are:

Nut to 12th fret = 12-3/4" (324 mm). This measurement doubled = 25-1/2" (648 mm) scale length.
Nut to the heel (not the extended fretboard) = 18-7/16" (468 mm).
Distance from heel to midpoint of bridge saddle adjustment = 7-1/8" (181 mm).

This is how Warmoth is able to make a 24.75 conversion necks, and 28 5/8" Baritone necks to fit the same stock 25.5" neck pocket.
