It was 40 years ago today that we lost Mr. Jimi Hendrix. I felt that this was kinda fitting to post today:

I was 12 when he dies, but his influence has been one of the strongest on my playing I have. His sense of timing,his use of chords and the simplicity of the way he approached a solo, never busy, just enough to keep you in the song. Jimi is known as a great soloist but he lived for the song first. I think his music is still prevalent today where others have passed into obscurity.
Long live his legacy.
