I departed last week with my university to travel to Prague and cracow. that explains my litre profile here, haha, but a hngd has to be mentioned.

I had a Jam session last night, that went horribly bad. The leader couldn't give me the proper information about the find, and then he blamed the mistakeson me. Oh well. Live and learn. Anyway, I went out in my lunchbreak to a guitar store, found a charvel, brand new, for 980$/780€.  The USA so Cal slime green version. You know exactly what I mean, right? Did I just buy a strat with Floyd and 2 dimarzios? Guess so... Was it a bargain? You tell me. It it literally brand new. I like the San dimas style better, but this is cool too. The Floyd'd tele they had isn't really my thing.

I almost date say, its one of the best playing guitars I own. Hands down. The q-sawn has a nice beefy cut, feels raw-ish, the compound radius is neat too. The fretwork is perfect. The finish of ths body too. Pics don't do it justice. It's a deeper green than most pics show you.

The sustain is incredible.

The tone is great too. Lots of mids, perhaps a bit too much though.

I really had to adjust to the guitar. Maybe because I hadn't played in a week, but after 20 minutes my hands were finally doing what I wanted them to do.

so, what do you think? Good it bad deal?

Other than my own builds, Charvel's and Jackson's have always been my fav, they just have a certain feel to them. They're just the most comfortable guitars to me.. :party07:

If I was a Floyd guy, I would get one of those. Great guitars, though they could do with a pickup change IMO. Still.... hell of a nice guitar! Pictures are required.

Some pics. I am still in prague and wont be home for another week.

That's a beautiful shade of green and the black hardware really stands out (in a good way).

+1. My second favorite guitar next to the Stratocaster/SuperStrat is the Rhodes Flying V. Love those.

And the price you're quoting is just about what retail is for the same model here in So Cal. I saw the Ferrari Red version in a local shop for USD$900. Nice buy if I say so myself.

I really love the fact that it's the USA version, which I'd no longer being made.only Japan now...

Yeah, the USA model is a great guitar. Haven't tried the Japan one, though.

I have the same guitar in Pagan Gold. But mine has a Warmoth pickguard and added tone pot.

Excellent guitar. I really love mine. The green on yours is quite sexy, though. I want one. :blob7:

I gave you crap about the green pearl on your toilet P bass. That's just vile and disgusting.

You also gave me crap about the black pearl on my bloodwood bass.  That's when I decided you had as much taste as Orpheo.  See what I did there?

You're high! I love that bass. Silver is an excellent compliment to bloodwood; black pearl fits silver perfectly; and Ebony gives it a nice touch of class. I probably complained about the pickups.
