Very nice.  Often I'm off the opinion that a recessed vibrato bar rout should be dyed black, but the black would be a little contrasty next to that golden-brown flamy maple.  In any case, very tasteful with the appointments.

Welcome aboard,

Bagman

This is one of the nicest tops I've seen lately.  :icon_thumright:
It's a shame to see so much covered up by a pickguard though.

Thanks. I am going to dye the route black - I don't like the way it looks in the pics.

I agree entirely. My son and I built this guitar, and he wanted the front route, so that he could easily swap pickguards with different configurations.

How do you like the pickups? I have a Yamaha Pacifica 12 string S/S/S that I removed a set of EMG's from. Playing with EMG's I discovered I actually like positions 1,3,5  - where as with the traditional RW/RP middle pickup setup I never ever ever used them.

The pickups are.... ok. They sound great, but they are still noisier than humbuckers.

Good call. The bare route just looks unfinished or incomplete without dye. Dying it black should complete the look.

yeah, very nice ... the grain in that maple top is really beautiful  :icon_thumright:

That is a beautiful guitar! And inspirational - I'm ordering parts for a new one myself, that'll have certain elements like yours.  :guitaristgif:

....... that is a beautiful guitar, did you consider just clearing over the bottom route ?? That black may make it more noticable, just an idea ....... i really like the look of the guitar though, very sweet .....
