It isn't invite only but it is for industry only. My dad's friend has a music store so that is how I got tickets. There are no shortage of tickets on Crieg's list though if you really wanted to go.

And yeah, how do all these non-industry people get to go to industry events?  NAMM seems like a gear heaven geared towards the non-industry types.  It's like a car show only open to car dealers.  What The French?

Exactly...industry only my arse.  I don't know anybody inthe industry, but loosely know people that have gone.  BTW, a lot of the pics have kids in the background.  How many kids are in the industry?  Well, I guess technically they build all of the Epiphones and Squiers.

I avoid those shows religiously. I shudder to think what would happen if I was surrounded by that much gear. I'd be escorted out for rubbing myself on a Mesa full stack within fifteen minutes.

Just got the newest Ampeg newsletter. They are coming out with a 600 W (at 8 ohms) SVT-7 head. Sounds interesting to me. I'm exited to see what new stuff EMG is coming out with as well.
