It never ceases to amaze me, how detailed guitar setup can be, i.e. if you want to jump down that rabbit hole.
2 screws per saddle. Love it gotta have it.
The complexity of what I could call attitude adjustment, at least that how I see it, is just amazing to me.
2 screws per saddle offers the ability to tilt the string at the saddle.
It doesn't have to be a radical angle at all for me to 'feel' the difference in how the string feels, relative to the one below and/or above.
Even the slightest tweak (just barely feeling it move), to one screw or the other changes the strings attitude for me.
Every string seems to have it's own different personality. I used to look for consistency across the neck in both directions,
but what has become more important to me is my subjective emotional and energetic connection to the instrument.
An other way to say it might be, how do I fine tune ... how the instrument 'speaks' ... for me.
How do I get it set up in a way that it lets me get as deep as possible into my core energy ... well ... deep / wide / tall / full range, ideally,
and with the ability to change the 'voice,' the 'character,' of what is being played, the attitude of the performance,
without electronic tweaking, doing it all right there with just the finger tips and pick and maybe the vol. and tone knobs,
and also my physical posture and mental / visual focus on my core.
My overall action is often higher than most would see as tolerable.
I've never been a speedster or shredder. I'm a melodic player and I'm 69 yrs old.
And of course, it's all just my subjective perception.
Wishing you all to stay safe and virus free!
