Hi guys....

What do you think on having 2 humbuckers,1 Volume,3-way toggle switch?
Instead of having Standard 2 Volume 2 Tone standard Les Paul wiring

Pickups-Dirty Finger at bridge,Classic 57' at neck.

Any pros and cons? I decided to go with 1 knob cause i noticed i rarely used tone knob(based on the current music i play),usually i just turn it to 10's.

I love how standard les pauls sound especially 57's VOS,i just want to make it simple.Any opinions guys?Any effect on tone based on Standard wiring?

If you ask me, that's the ONLY way to wire that setup.

Although, some guys will put in a coil cut switch on one or both of the pickups, or a switch to put them in/out of phase, or a switch to put them in series/parallel, or a switch to put one coil of each in series/parallel, or in/out of phase, or any other wild-assed configuration you can think of until you can't remember what anything does and you need a 10 second break in the song to reconfigure your guitar.

Besides, the traditional wiring for that setup puts the volume/tone controls in parallel when you have both pickups selected, so you never know what you're going to get when you switch to that position.

Then, hardly anybody uses the tone knob(s), so you're not alone there.

Having 32 bajillion knobs and switches appeals to the younger, less experienced crowd. The HiFi business even has an acronym for it: KPD. Stands for "Knobs Per Dollar". The unsophisticated will always feel better about spending more money if they get more knobs/buttons/switches to play with. Ultimately, they find they use very few of them.

Do it the way you're thinking. You won't be sorry.

Thanks guys for the opinions :hello2:

The main reason why i choose to have 1 knob, master for all control cause i'm not that good on manipulating all those switches and knobs, maybe other user quite talented on that.Frankly speaking,i rather enjoy having a perfect vibrato than make myself busy with all those knobs while playing live :laughing7:

Any other opinions?
