My very first Warmoth neck arrived today.
I have been upgrading my MIM Strat over the course of the last few years, only the bridge, body, strap holders, and output jack are stock now.

Neck details:
Warmoth Pro, Mahogany with Ebony fretboard
SS6105 frets, Mother of Pearl inlay
59 Roundback, 10-16 compound radius
Clear gloss finish
Schaller locking mini tuners

Body:
Fender 1993 MIM body, black paint
Fender Vintage Noiseless PUs
White pearloid pickguard, full copper shielding
6 screw trem, rarely used.

I ordered it on Christmas, got it today on 1/28/2010 (left Washington 1 week ago)

Interested in selling/trading the MIM neck? I could always use one and go through strat parts like crazy

Woo..........never seen figured Mahogany like that.  Great find on Showcase.  With this neck and your black MIM body, I would replace the pickguard with Tort and use aged/cream pickup covers and knobs.  Just my take.

Ha, the picture loaded really slow because I have updates and stuff going on and I though that your couch was a close up of green dyed flame maple.  :laughing7:

Sweet guitar, it's got a stunning neck.  :icon_thumright:

Is there finish on the ebony, too? It looks like it in the fourth and sixth photos.

I'll find out how it plays tonight. A trip to the music store to grab some strings is in order.  I have no idea why I didn't stock up earlier.
The ebony fretboard is not finished, and playing on it without strings feels wonderful.
The tortoise option might work. I've grown attached to the white pearloid though.  The old 3 play white pickguard was just ugly, so I only kept that on it for the first 10 years. :)
Somehow my middle knob (tone) has aged more than the volume and lower tone knob.. it looks odd to me anyways, but they're all original

Thanks for the comments!

I've come back to this thread 4 times today to look at that mahog.. excellent buy man.. seriously top notch. Very jealous!  :icon_biggrin:

It plays like a dream after a little setup. I went to a new (to me) guitar shop and they didn't have my usual strings, so I have it equipped with DR Extra Black Beauties 9-42, since that's the diameter i prefer in Elixers.
The bridge had to be adjusted up quite a bit to make way for those awesome stainless steel frets. Guess the frets on my original neck got worn down from regular use (17 years)

After an hour of noodling on it, I love love the locking tuners, and I think I can skip the string tree, as it never once budged from it's home.
The 59 Roundback is perfect for my hands and the ebony fretboard feels just like it was meant to be.

Jay4321: give me a week to think about it. i'll pm you about the MIM neck.
