I've always wanted to build my own guitar.  Here is what I plan on ordering.  What else do I need to get besides a pickup?  Any additional suggestions?  I'm going for an 80's metal guitar with one volume one pickup!

You need a book, like How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great by Dan Erlewine, or his other magnus opus, the Guitar Player Repair Guide.

I know how to setup a Floyd.  My plan is to get a white Duncan Invader, tune to C# using 10 - 52 strings.  I think I might need to get a plate for the guitar input jack.

Sounds like a cool build!

Yes a jack plate is missing from your list

The other thing I'd think about is the is the nut width; do you like a narrow nut like early Fenders? Great if you do, but if you're not sure I'd go with the "vintage medium" or "modern medium"

Awesome. Another metal player! :)  I use 12-56 on my black V, tuned to B.

You already addressed the jack plate, so the shopping list looks complete to me.
