Here's some pix of my strat. Just finished swapping out the right-handed body for a Warmoth custom lefty body so it's easier to play. I'm very happy with the way this turned out. The guitar plays much nicer and sounds better than it did before.
Another gorgeous lefty! I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned it, but I'm more than a little keen on (Warmoth's) candy finishes and this is a stunning example. Not that I'm complaining about that top.
I was blown away by the back color. I had no idea that it would be like this. Sometimes it's copper, sometimes it's gold, other times sort of orange-y but always filled with sparkles. Much better than expected.
But way more significant is the fact that the playability on this guitar has changed from just ok to fantastic. I don't know what kind of magic Warmoth puts in the wood, but I feel like I traded in my old strat for a high-end model out of the custom shop.
In a lot of ways that's exactly what you did. The most important reason for my choosing the Big W is that I can get exactly what I want in a guitar, and there's no where else but through a custom shop that that would be possible. Add to it that I love to build and tinker and I'm totally sold.
