I'm not trying to be an ass here, but if you posted a question asking if the solderless EMG pot would fit in your CT Tele body and I replied with a long post about how a short shaft regular pot isn't long enough to go through my soloist body I am sure you would wonder why I would post that as well.
Read it through about 3 times and at one point you talk about sanding around the hole to get the short shaft to poke through yet in the same sentence you mention dpdt pots and solderless sockets. I was looking for a simple yes or no if short shaft pots are long enough to go through a soloist...
Also I would like to retract my comment about the Ernie Ball pot. It was my fault. The knob was the wrong size and I tried to force it on. Did it to another CTS as well (doh). The Ernie Balls are just rebranded CTS pots actually. Surprisingly I learned that all CTS pots are made in Taiwan...
Locking tuners just make string changes so easy. I won't just go putting them on my other floyded guitars for no reason, but in a case like this when I have no tuners at all I'll use lockers every time.
Hey guys on a sloist body do I need to run a long shaft pot or will a short shaft work? The short shaft will just barely make it through the body. Not sure if I would have enough to get the knob on there. Not sure though as I broke the shaft on the pot. So now I have to wait for a relacement to...

edit- Warmoth actually sells a push/push which does look a little beefier than the one i was referring too.
Thanks guys :headbang:
Well it is like 95% done. It's all assembled and set up. It's also wired, but for some reason instead of ordering a CTS pot I bought an Ernie Ball branded pot locally that looked like a CTS, but was Chinese crap. After I got the guitar all wired up the shaft broke when I...
