Hey,
For some reason I cannot attach pictures in the direct message.
Here's Black Cherry in Satin with Black Burstover
And here's an example of Gloss Black Cherry with Clean Line (top body), and with Black Burstover (bottom body)
I tried to find a picture because I think I've seen one ONCE... but I couldn't find one. It was basically black satin with silver flecks in it. Something about the satin finish made the flakes lose all their "holo-ness". It was so bad we said "never again!".
I actually had all R Alder and R Ash bodies spec'd for production, 2 for each burst and trans color (gloss and satin), and most made it in from the shop... then the paint department was backed up with custom orders, removing R Alder as an option was discussed, and the bodies I had made were...
Warmoth also includes insurance on every shipment, so if your $800 custom body gets lost by UPS or USPS, you are not out the money and your new guitar. This insurance is based on dollar value of your order, which is why you see the increase on more expensive orders.
Well, circa 2011 we were shooting Nitro on bodies as a satin finish, but you couldn't even look at the body without it getting scratched/fingerprints/glossed up. We took a hiatus for awhile, then came back with the Poly Satin that has none of those issues. :)
Yes, the 4.13 is the weight. If the body was made before 6/2022, then it will denote 4lb 13oz. If it was made after 6/2022, then it will signify 4.13lb (4lb 2oz).
Ideally items are added every day, but it depends on the shop output (labor available + custom orders v in stock production), and also if I have time 😂
