I think because one is the neck dimensions, and one is the neck pocket dimensions, and the narrowest point shown on the neck drawing is above the point of measurement on the neck pocket? +adding for wood and sanding tolerances.

I would say the Velocity or the Musiclander. Velocity is Wider, but Musiclander might have less surface area? Velocity - Blue Musiclander - Pink Strat- Green
