    Arrgghhh! Guitar won't ground

    Sheilding is always good but do the whole cavity all the way up and I do the input jack cavity too.  You have to have a least one place where a pickup screw comes in contact with the sheilding  coming up over the lip.  A guitar won't buzz like that when taking off your fingers from the strings...

    If you can afford it, get the Kinman Tele pickup for the Bridge if you want noiseless.

    Vintage sounding Single coils..

    For Strats I prefer the Fralin Vintage Hots.  If you want a real super quacky sound with a little of that vintage "hollowness," try John Suhr's new Fletcher/Landau pickups (They have less low end than the Fralins).  For Tele I like Fralin Blues Specials, and I'm getting ready to try the Adder...
